Training for the Andes

Frightened by stories of altitude sickness, exhaustion and snow, sleet and walking up and downhill 12 hours a day, I've got training seriously at last!  That means, for me, going to Hadleigh downs, walking and when I find a hill, going up and down it fast, several times!  The hills are quite steep, if they're suitable for Olympic mountain biking they're good enough for me.. My friend Sue suggested that all Essex had were "Telly Tubby hills"!  Cheek, she knows nothing.

I'm also hoola hooping with my 42" shocking pink hoop, apparently now an exercise craze, sweeping through north Essex, led by Amanda Morris, my friend and trainer.  Amanda suggested exercising briskly , getting my heart beating really fast so it gets used to the stress.   You can find Amanda at www.gymlessgym.co.uk

I've also booked the next part of my fundraising, a meal at the Royal Oak, Great Stambridge on Thursday 12 March at 7.30pm. If you'd like to come do get in touch.  If you'd like to donate please go to www.justgiving.com/rosemarycunningham  Thank you for your support!

My fundraising is for CancerActive who provide the best information on alternative treatments and support for people suffering from Cancer.  I remember Chris Woollams, the founder talking about herbs that had been researched in China and found to make radiotherapy work 70% more effectively.  CancerActive collates that sort of information along with all the latest allopathic treaments too.
