Bowen for feeling depressed, lost confidence and out of kilter
In September 2010 I was talking to my surgery nurse. My GP wished to put me on anti depressants which I refused. I said to my nurse, I'm not depressed , just fed up and I feel totally out of kilter. She asked how I felt about alternative medicines and I told her I was fine with it in its place. She told be about Bowen technique and gave me Rosemary's details. The next week I went along to see Rosemary. Not expecting anything or even pretending to understand the concept, we embarked on a journey.
Firstly I broke down and cried, this was before the treatment began. Many aspects were discussed and I began to feel calmer. I left her surgery feeling much calmer in myself, slept well that night and the next morning awoke feeling that a big cloud that had been hanging over me had been lifted.
After more treatments my attitude changed and I had more energy and a brighter outlook. I hadn't realised how negative I had become, I guess a build up over time. My cup had defninitely become full, in fact flowing over.
I'm still not certain how Bowen works, but it has certainly helped me. I try to go whenever I feel stressed and I know I am embarking on special events or things I don't particularly want to do. Normally a very outgoing person, I hadn't realised that I had lost a lot of my confidence and had become very apprehensive. Much better now thanks to Bowen and Rosemary.
