Winter Aromatherapy
Be warned, this is potent! I nearly came a cropper coming down stairs after a glass of this brew. I got faster and faster and only the wall at the bottom stopped me! I also learnt respect for this lethal liquid as I took the lid off the saucepan for a sniff, the gas flame ignited that lovely vaporising alcohol and singed my eyelashes and hair!
1 bottle of red wine
500 ml Orange juice
Brandy to taste. I use 3 tablespoonfuls.
2 cinnamon sticks
Sachet of mulled wine spices
Sugar to taste
Sliced oranges and lemons
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and heat very slowly. Add sugar to taste.
