Yoghurt protects against cancer and eczema

Researchers have found that if we eat two of more servings of yoghurt a day we are 40% less likely to develop bladder cancer than if we eat none.   I'm not a yoghurt eater myself as milk products don't suit me but I do take a capsule of the unpronouncable Bioacidopholus when I remember, to keep my friendly bacteria happy and flourishing and the less desirables in check!   Other people like to take the little drinks and my friend Helen Putman told me how these bacteria have helped her son's eczema.

" A friend mentioned that 'Actimel' drinks had improved her son's chronic psoriasis dramatically, her son is 13 and was on 3 drinks a day, I decided to try AJ on 1 actimel a day and see how we got on.  The improvement was almost immediate the patches lessened, some disappeared and now he only has a very small patch on his wrist and behind one knee which are not nearly as irritating for him.  We still use Unguentum twice a day on these patches to keep the skin moisturised.

We have a water softener in the house and this too helps to reduce the itchiness of his eczma patches, we can tell when the salt needs replenishing as AJ's skin can get a little itchy.  Also chlorine when he has been swimming can affect his skin."
